Coastal erosion warning as NSW prepares for strong winds and swell | pallavisinghal_
Communities along NSW’s North Coast are being warned of the potential for coastal erosion with showers, strong winds and large waves expected to batter the coastline later this week.
The rough conditions will be caused by a low-pressure system that is expected to develop off the coast near the south-east of Queensland on Friday. It will follow a week of rain in Sydney, with up to eight millimetres of rainfall forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is expected to be the wettest day of the week, with up to 15 millimetres of rain, before it eases back to 6 to 10 millimetres on Friday.
The city shivered through its coldest morning in four years on Saturday morning when clear skies and a westerly breeze brought the overnight temperature to five degrees.
