A staggering amount of cocaine worth millions of dollars has been discovered after firefighters were called to a blaze at a Queensland boat ramp. Emergency services have discovered a staggering amount of cocaine after being called to a fire north of Mackay in Queensland.
First responders rushed to a boat ramp on Jimmys Rock Road at Midge Point about 8.05am on Saturday last week after reports of a crane-mounted truck on fire.
“Upon arrival, the truck was fully engulfed, and a number of suspicious packages were located nearby,” a Queensland Police statement said. Picture: Queensland Police Service“Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been around Midge Point boat ramp between 12am and 8.15am and has relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward,” police said. Police have also urged people to come forward if any more packages are discovered and to “not touch” any that are found.
