Singer Steve Harley, who performed as part of Cockney Rebel, was touring up until January 2024, but was forced to cancel dates after being diagnosed with cancer

The 73-year-old died “peacefully at home, with his family by his side”, a statement from his daughter Greta said.

“We know he will be desperately missed by people all over the world, and we ask that you respectfully allow us privacy to grieve.”Writing to fans in February this year, his official social media page said: "Due to on-going treatment for cancer, Steve cannot commit to any concerts in 2024. While another commented: "So very sorry to hear that you’re fighting cancer. Every good wish for your recovery Steve and look forward to seeing your gigging again.
