The hotel is closed and undergoing a deep clean after the owners were notified that a person who has tested positive to the virus visited the venue.

A pub at Coffs Harbour, on the NSW Mid North Coast has closed after being notified by NSW Health that a person who has tested positive to COVID-19 visited the venue.

Mr Barry said he found out the venue had become an exposure site from a patron who was there at the time.He said his initial reaction was disbelief but the next steps were quickly organised."Now I'm talking to the media to make sure that anybody and everybody from Coffs Harbour knows that if they were the Hoey on Thursday evening they should go and get tested.
