A thief has been caught 'wet-handed' allegedly stealing coins from a fountain outside Melbourne Arts Centre yesterday.
Melbourne East police believe a man wearing a wet suit, flippers and snorkel jumped into the water on St Kilda Road about midday.The well-equipped thief allegedly stole a small amount of coins when police arrived and arrested him. The 57-year-old South Yarra man is expected to be charged on summons with theft and going equipped to steal.
