Coles and Woolworths have announced deals on seafood ahead of the Easter long weekend, with Aussies expected to snap up more than 200 tonnes of cooked prawns from one of the supermarket giants alone.

Coles and Woolworths have slashed seafood prices ahead of the Easter long weekend.

The supermarket giant predicts more than 60,000 rock lobsters, 85 tonnes of fresh salmon and 200 tonnes of cooked Australian tiger prawns will be purchased from stores this week. NSW customers will also snap up the most salmon with 24,100 transactions expected, closely followed by the Sunshine State and Victoria at 21,900.
