DiToma, 39, spent three seasons at Fairleigh Dickson – a Division I program in New Jersey – where he compiled a 37-67 record.
“He’s a really gifted athlete,” SJSU coach Brad Sanfilippo said. “I wonder how he does so well in the classroom because he’s always in the cage, taking groundballs and finding ways to become a better player.”SJSU will start the season at Loyola Marymount on Feb. 17 and will play host to the Washington Huskies from Feb. 23-26.
