Waubonsee Community College will host College Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Academic and Professional Center on its Sugar Grove campus.

Paramount Theatre in Aurora has announced the appointment of Chicago theater artist Kara Davidson as director of New Works and associate artistic producer.

Previously a company member at The House Theatre of Chicago, she has always had a special interest in devising new works for the stage, according to a press release from Paramount officials.

His live performances weave through genres such as avant-garde, rock and singer/songwriter, library officials said.
