Collingwood’s injury crisis has deepened with star forward Jamie Elliott diagnosed with a vascular issue. The high-flyer missed Sunday’s win over West Coast with what the club initially thought was a back-related foot problem. But further assessment has revealed a “treatable vascular issue”, which will keep him sidelined for at least two weeks. The 31-year-old will see vascular specialists for further prognosis and treatment.
Veteran Jeremy Howe will miss the next three weeks after suffering a groin strain in the win over West Coast. “I’ve had one of these before a few years ago, it feels pretty similar which was on the minor end,” Howe said. Jack Bytel has entered concussion protocols, while Harvey Harrison will be assessed further after suffering an ankle inversion.
