military helicopter has crashed in the city of Quibdó, in the country's west, killing at least two people, authorities said.

Footage of the army helicopter - which was carrying out supply operations - showed it spiralling out of control on Monday before it crashed to the ground in an urban area. Colombia's President Gustavo Petro confirmed the incident on Twitter and said emergency services had been deployed to the crash site.Footage showed the Colombian military helicopter spinning out of control and falling from the sky over an urban area.

"A few minutes ago, an Army helicopter crashed in Quibdó while carrying out supply tasks. I have given the order to the authorities to move immediately to the area to deal with the emergency and investigate the causes of what happened," he tweeted.The Colombian military said two were dead and two were missing from the crash, local media reports.More to come ...Continue reading
