Roshan Cumberlander, 39, of South Linden, pleaded guilty Tuesday to fatally shooting his girlfriend, 36-year-old Tomika Lee Turner, in 2019.
A Columbus man is facing a minimum two-decade prison sentence for fatally shooting his girlfriend, the mother of four children, in 2019.
Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Daniel Hawkins found Cumberlander guilty and sentenced him to a minimum of 20 years in prison. Vaccaro said Turner and Cumberlander were arguing when the latter produced a gun and shot Turner. Cumberlander initially walked away, but then turned around and shot Turner again, Vaccaro said, as a witness would have testified to at trial.
Cumberlander's attorney, Mark Collins, apologized to the victim's family that it took this long to come to a resolution and that his client now takes responsibility for his actions.
