Comedian Dave Hughes has taken a subtle dig at American comic Arj Barker by announcing a special comedy event for “mums and bubs”. Barker made headlines earlier this week after asking a mother and baby to leave his show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, saying they were “interrupting his rhythm”.
Arj Barker speaks out after kicking mum and baby out of comedy show. Trish Faranda said she felt “humiliated” after Barker singled out her and her seven-month-old daughter Clara in the midst of his show at the Athenaeum Theatre on Saturday night. “ did a little bit of babbling and he just stopped and said, ‘Is there a baby here?’ and he did a thing about babies,” she told 7NEWS. “Then he said, ‘I speak fluent baby and it said take me outside’.
