All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner has played all but one season of his 12-year career with the Seahawks.
The have agreed to terms with former linebacker , a team source confirmed to The Athletic. The move reunites the six-time first-team All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowler with Commanders head coach and former Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Wagner, 34 in June, becomes Washington’s 13th external free agent added since free agency unofficially began on Monday. The Athletic ranked him 95th among the top 150 free agents.
Wagner has the tools and traits for an on-field impact — he was selected second-team All-Pro in 2023 — but the leadership likely appealed most to Quinn and general manager Adam Peters. Though new to the scene, don’t be surprised if his teammates select Wagner as a team captain. The respect league-wide is that strong. Respect for his former coaches, including position coach Ken Norton Jr.
