In honor of National Women’s History Month we celebrate the women making a difference...

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.” A handful of women — high achievers all — come to mind. Impact SA began in 2004, with the goal of members donating to a collective fund to help nonprofits. The objective was to make gifts of $100,000 to agencies implementing impactful projects. Since our founding, we have awarded more than $4.

A recent report from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy found that giving circles tripled in number from 2007 to 2017, to 1,500, and have donated as much as $1.29 billion in that time. The vast majority of giving circle members are women.
