Talladega County Deputy Coroner Josh Vincent said the incident began with a call at about 3:15 p.m. of a possible drowning.
Douglas jumped out of a boat near an area known as “the Cliffs” south of Lincoln Harbor. Authorities were called when Douglas did not resurface. Divers from Leeds, Pell City and Lincoln were called.
