Mr McCormack kept to himself by all accounts, but on Thursday evening more than 100 people gathered at a memorial service at the base of the stairs. She has called for a formal inquiry into what she described as his neglect at the hands of the system. Ms Booker said Mr McCormack's death coincided with the end of the Together Home program — a two-year project that aimed to get rough sleepers into stable accommodation, with a focus on complex clients."This tragic incident is not isolated, but rather indicative of broader systemic issues that require immediate attention and reform," she said.
