Children and families in Newmains have welcomed the addition of a brand new play facility in the village.

New benches have also been installed to create a seating area for adults and families to enjoy the park. Councillor Louise Roarty congratulated the children expressed her enthusiasm for the new facility, saying: “Well done to these children for doing such a great job ensuring that the artwork reflects the theme of the play area.
Councillor Robert John McKendrick, said: “We’ve been waiting for about 10 years for a new play area, there was £90,000 set aside then.
