Scott Morrison announces funding to ease road bottlenecks, widen freeways, and build a new train station in Perth, promising it will save time for those living in outer suburbs.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced nearly $100 million in funding for upgrades to Perth's transport infrastructure, during a three-day campaign tour of the city.
The 'congestion-busting package' includes $96 million in upgrades to ease road bottlenecks at Hazelmere, Alkimos and Kewdale, widening of the Kwinana and Mitchell Freeways, and a new train station on the Mandurah line."Removing pinch points and bottlenecks will make a real difference to the lives of people living in fast-growing suburbs," he said.$50 million for the next section of Kwinana and Mitchell Freeway widening$13.
