Sky News business reporter Ingrid Willinge says consumer sentiment has risen by 3.9 per cent in August, according to a new survey by Westpac.
“It must be noted these are still very pessimistic levels.
In fact, to just put it into perspective for you, the consumer is as pessimistic as they were back in the 1990s recession,” Ms Willinge said.
