The government’s latest attempt to resolve the Auditor-General’s “significant accounting issues” came after Treasury secretary Mike Pratt defended his agency’s handling of TAHE on Thursday at a parliamentary inquiry into the state-owned corporation. Greens MP David Shoebridge, left, and Treasury secretary Mike Pratt engaged in heated exchanges at the inquiry.However, he declined to respond to questions about a confidential Treasury document in February which warned that any attempt to abolish TAHE would create ain the budget over the next 10 years. He said he was prevented from commenting on a cabinet document.
