Conversations with Friends' Alison Oliver has an interesting link with Normal People's Paul Mescal
After the success of the BBC's version of Sally Rooney’s Normal People, another of her books has been adapted for TV screens.Starring in the series are Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Sasha Lane, Girls star Jemima Kirke and Alison Oliver.
Taking to Instagram the heartthrob wrote: “Here we go! Can't wait to see this. Big shout out to my pal @alisonoliver333 who is going to blow you all away.” She previously spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about the life-changing role, stating: “It was my first job, so it's kind of my introduction to the industry.
Alisonalso spoke about her love for Sally’s writing, saying: “I think what Sally Rooney's writing does, that makes it so successful, is she's unafraid to write characters that are really flawed and I think that makes them so grounded and makes us relate to them so easily, because they feel like real people. When you read her books, you just feel really seen.”
