"The government has gone to extreme measures and are using scare tactics through the media to prevent the Melbourne protest," the social media event read.A Victoria Police officer explained to Ms Buhler she was being arrested over a Facebook event she allegedly organised.
"We're satisfied in those circumstances the members behaved appropriately and in accordance with our policy," he said. "Our members did everything they could to both secure their safety and the safety of the people involved but also to assist this individual with her concerns." Victoria Police have issued a stark warning to anyone considering attending the event, claiming the protest would put lives at risk.
"We all look forward to the day when restrictions can be eased. If people continue to behave in ways which will spread the virus, that day will be pushed out. And any roadmap or pathway to a return to a degree of normalcy is going to be deferred by those behaviours."By all means, protest online. Be the keyboard warrior."
