Chris Gascoyne will be stepping away from his iconic role as Peter Barlow on Coronation Street.
Coronation Street star Bill Fellows confirmed the sad news that his pal and co-star Chris Gascoyne would be stepping back from his role as Peter Barlow.
Corrie actor Bill admits he is sad about Chris' looming exit from the ITV soap, despite not much being known about his departure from Weatherfield. Bill, who plays Stu Carpenter, says he's keen to film scenes with Chris and soap legend Bill Roache before they move on from the programme. "A very good friend of mine who I've had very little to do with is Chris Gascoyne but unfortunately he is leaving, it's sad but hopefully I will have a few little things with him [before he goes], but everyone is so good and so nice."
It's not known when or how Chris will be departing the show, but he is set to ditch the soap for Saint Albans ahead of the upcoming pantomime season and will now be appearing at The Alban Arena.
