The PM is set to kickstart the trans-Tasman travel bubble by next Tuesday, which will see hotel quarantine scrapped for New Zealand arrivals.
Government sources told The Australian that the announcement is expected before Tuesday’s federal budget, with the PM and his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Ardern discussing plans earlier this week.
“I hope very soon to see New Zealanders coming and holidaying in Australia,” Mr Morrison told the National Press Club this afternoon.
