Australians who were stranded in the coronavirus epicentre of Wuhan in China are on a Qantas flight bound for Darwin.

, this group will be taken to a large unused mining camp in Darwin, where they will spend 14 days while being monitored for signs of the virus.When passengers on the latest flight were alerted to the new flight time in an email they were warned they would need to meet strict criteria, including submitting to temperature checks.

Passengers were also reminded they would have to meet conditions imposed on them by the Chinese and Australian governments. Conditions on the plane were set to be different to normal flights, with all passengers told they would need to wear face masks supplied to them and change their mask every two hours.

Passengers were told that if they needed to sneeze or cough they should do so into their elbow after removing their mask, and then use an alcohol-based hand rub.
