Victoria has sadly recorded 16 deaths and 279 new cases of COVID-19, as the Federal Health Minister says there are strong signs the curve is flattening again
Victorian health authorities are still investigating a fresh outbreak at Frankston Hospital.
“But it is a stress obviously for those involved and there is furloughing or quarantine for close contacts, obviously other healthcare workers as well as their families.NSW has recorded five new COVID-19 cases and one death in the past 24 hours.All five of the new cases were locally-acquired, with three linked to the Tangara School cluster, one case that is still under investigation in a man in his 40s from Western Sydney, and another in a close contact of the man.
Anyone who visited these venues and develops COVID-19 symptoms should get tested and isolate immediately, NSW Health said.Of those, there are currently 119 people being treated by NSW Health, including seven who are in intensive care units.Authorities considering range of solutions after Hambleton House outbreakResidents will not necessarily be moved out of an Albert Park facility with a COVID-19 outbreak which caters to people with mental health issues and behavioural issues.
The DHHS said on Saturday they were considering moving COVID-19 positive residents out of the facility, but Mr Andrews said a facility will lend itself to people being isolated and sometimes not. Sunbury’s Japara Goonawarra Aged Care Home now has 72 cases linked to it, with Western Health now onsite and a number of residents have been transferred to hospitals or other health facilities.
