The global death toll from coronavirus has passed 101,000. "Unfortunately, closing the coastal walk was the only way the Council could help ensure that Public Health Orders could be maintained along the walk. "If we can keep this up, we are expecting less Queenslanders to get sick... and ultimately less Queenslanders dying from this awful disease," he said. About 360 Queenslanders have recovered from COVID-19, although Dr Miles said that data might be lagging.
