NSW has recorded 10 new coronavirus cases overnight, six of those cases were in people in hotel quarantine. The four cases detected in the community were all linked to the Sydney CBD cluster. Follow the latest coverage here:
The hotels housing quarantined returned travellers in Victoria were responsible for cleaning and providing COVID-19 training and personal protective equipment to their staff.

The four cases detected in the community were all linked to the Sydney CBD cluster, after the state recorded 14,232 tests in the reporting period. They include two household cases of previously reported cases and two close contacts of previously reported cases. Additional "watch for symptoms" alerts have been issued for two locations in Balmain, in Sydney's inner west, they are:Chemist Warehouse Balmain on Friday August 28 from 2pm to 2.30pm
Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions' executive director of aviation strategy and services Unni Menon was initially involved in the "hotel for heroes", a scheme that provided accommodation for frontline workers during the pandemic.
