NSW has recorded four new cases in the past 24 hours, three of which were in hotel quarantine and one was linked to the Concord Hospital cluster. Follow our updates here:
Premier Daniel Andrews has again defended the decision to not fine the individuals and families at the centre of the COVID-19 cluster in the Casey council area in Melbourne's south-east.
But Mr Andrews has said there is a role for commonsense decisions, with some restrictions due to be eased this coming Sunday. "But what they are clear about is that, even with these low numbers and the great work we're doing, it is too early for us to open up. We need to take these steps, safe and steady and if they are not steady, it will not be safe. If we rush this, it will not be safe and everything that has been given and done and sacrificed will not be worth much.
