A vaccine candidate for COVID-19 developed by researchers at the University of Queensland will start human trials this week. The trial will see 120 people, selected from 4000 volunteers, given two doses of the vaccine four weeks apart.
has said there have been further cases linked to the Crossroads Hotel in Sydney's south-west, with the focus of their investigation on attendees who had recently been in Melbourne.
Asked about the situation at an ADF base in Wagga Wagga, Dr Chant confirmed a "small number" of ADF personnel attended the Crossroads Hotel and had been placed in self-isolation as a precaution. "What it does amplify is that we are living in one country at two different stages," he added, saying he would love to eventually be able to watch his own Carlton Football Club once Victorian restrictions ease.
