Fans of the long-running soap were left suspicious on Monday's episode as a mystery individual was spotted filming Roy Cropper after he was wrongly arrested over missing Lauren Bolton.
Coronation Street fans were left shocked on Monday night after they spotted a suspicious newcomer. On Friday night, Roy Cropper was wrongfully arrested on suspicion of murdering his former employee Lauren Bolton, with soap fans recalling that Lauren - a troubled youngster - abruptly left the cobbles earlier this year.
On Monday night, the hit ITV soap revealed more updates about Lauren as Max Turner overheard David and Shona Platt discussing whether Lauren's dad's far-right group could be involved in her disappearance. Fans will remember Lauren arriving in Weatherfield in 2022 after she helped recruit Max into an extremist far-right gang.
This resulted in Roy being held hostage at his café as two dodgy men interrogated him. It was soon revealed that the dodgy men were friends with Lauren's dad Reece and demanded that Roy tell them what he has done with Lauren.View gallery Thankfully Roy, who kept repeating he was innocent, was rescued in time by Nick Tilsley and Carla Connor, who sent the thugs packing. Later, Carla accompanied Roy to the police station, where they gave a statement.
