But her Corrie co-stars, fans and followers were quick to suggest she was better than the Little Mermaid.
It comes as Channique has been heard responding to comments that she was subject to when she first joined Corrie as part of the Bailey family, who in 2019 were the first clan to arrive on the cobbles together since the Windass family in 2008 and the long-running soap's first black family.
