ITV Coronation Street's Lisa George claps back as she's mistaken for former soap star while she marks sweet reunion with stunning selfie
Coronation Street's Lisa George was quick to respond as she was mistaken for another soap star after enjoying a sweet reunion with her former on-screen niece. The actress, who is known for playing Beth Sutherland in the ITV soap, headed out earlier this week to support former Corrie star Ian Puleston-Davies as he celebrated his film directing debut.
And it meant there was a happy reunion for Lisa and Katie McGlynn, who played Sinead Tinker, Beth's niece, in the ITV soap from 2013 up until her tragic death in 2019. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday , Katie, who ha since starred in Hollyoaks posted a selfie of the former soap relatives together at the film event.
"You might have only been my auntie Beth on-screen, but us two are family for life," the 29-year-old sweetly penned alongside the glam snap as they almost coordinated on outfits with Katie sporting a cropped black blazer and matching paper bag trousers while Lisa rocked a green blazer and matching trousers.
But as one of Katie's followers commented: "U look gorgeous Katie, is that Les Battersbys wife??" Lisa hit back. "No it bloody well isn’t!," she typed back.
