Corrie's Stephen star confirms soap exit and unveils souvenir he took from set

EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street star Todd Boyce, who plays killer Stephen Reid, has confirmed his soap exit will air over the coming weeks, with Stephen's crimes finally unearthed

Todd Boyce has confirmed he will be leaving Coronation Street, with his character Stephen Reid's exit storyline playing out over the coming weeks on the ITV soap.

Speaking to OK! and other press about his time on the soap coming to an end, Todd said: "I started in my thirties and I'm now in my early sixties, and I've had three goes. The final was just a gift from heaven and God. I mean, truly, I couldn't have wished for anything more exciting than to be given Stephen and to be given such good writing."

The actor went on to tease his exit storyline, saying viewers will most likely be pleased with how it all plays out after months of "frustration" watching Stephen remain unpunished.
