Tonight's visit to Weatherfield continued to explore Cassie Plummer's attempts to reconnect with her son, Tyrone Dobbs. Claire Sweeney has underwent a dramatic transformation to play Cassie and has been a hit with fans since her arrival on the Cobbles.
Tyrone was convinced his biological mum had died as Evelyn Plummer had concealed the truth in order to protect him. However, Cassie is now back on the scene and has vowed to get clean.Scenes broadcast earlier this week revealed she is hiding the truth from Tyrone as she was targeted by her drug dealer and needed to be taken to hospital. However, Tyrone is convinced his mum is on the right path and is hopeful they can truly reconnect.
He invited Abi Webster over for dinner in Wednesday's episode, but it proved for awkward viewing as Cassie was concerned her son was staging an intervention. Viewers following the show on Twitter are unsure on Cassie's motives and are worried she may be manipulating Tyrone.
