Sauces, soups and meals are being recalled by the Food Standards Agency over food safety breaches
Several items have been recalled by a Canterbury company over concerns they could cause serious illness or death. The Food Standards Agency has recalled a number of Moonshine's Products items over 'unsafe production procedures'.
In a damning statement, the FSA said: "Moonshine’s Products Ltd are recalling several products because of temperature control breaches, microbiological contamination risks and other potential food safety risks as a result of unsafe production procedures, which make these products unsafe to eat and means they could potentially cause serious illness or death if consumed."
They added: "Additionally, there is a risk that the glass bottles may explode which may cause injury.". It isn't known precisely where the items are sold, with Moonshine's Products a small company that only employs one person as a director. The FSA added: "If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, please take a photograph of the product and email Moonshine’s Products Ltd [email protected] for a refund and handle the bottles with care to safely dispose of the products at home. If you have any questions or concerns, please email [email protected].
