Dougie Campbell has been left 'very disappointed' by the move to continue with the closure of Kirkcudbright Hospital
A councillor has turned down the chance to join the region’s integration joint board because he doesn’t feel his voice would be heard.
However, he has opted against the move after watching the recording of the latest board meeting, where members agreed to continue “with the temporary closure of the in-patient facilities at four cottage hospital sites”. “Closure of the hospital will have a significant impact on the future healthcare and wellbeing of the constituents I serve.
