Now, 23-year-old Lamonteon Williams has a hearing scheduled Wednesday related to Johnson's death on charges that include murder, attempted murder, criminal recklessness and theft of a firearm.
Williams began complaining when he saw food in the kitchen, saying that since he moved out, they had started buying groceries, a roommate told police. Williams brought up a debt the former roommate owed him, which that roommate said he had already paid back. As the roommate sat on the couch, Williams put a gun to his head and demanded money, the affidavit said.They began to fight over the gun and multiple shots were fired.
At some point during the fight, the roommate fell to the ground and Williams shot him. The roommate, who survived, told police he heard multiple gunshots but didn't see anyone being shot. When police arrived, the roommate immediately identified Williams as the shooter, the affidavit said. Johnson was pronounced dead on scene. An autopsy later ruled his death a homicide by means of multiple gunshot wounds.Investigators at the scene learned a Toyota Camry was driving another person shot to the hospital, which they dispatched to other officers.
