Coventry City and Hull City are leading the hunt to sign Sheffield Wednesday star Josh Windass on a free transfer this summer,Windass is out of contract with the Owls at the end of this month and no deal has been agreed for him to remain at Hillsborough next season.
The attacker scored six goals and laid on two assists in 25 appearances to help Wednesday retain their Championship status for another year.Windass has been a standout performer for the Owls since joining the club from Wigan Athletic in 2020. The Hull-born man has played 129 games in the second tier across his career, while he also spent two years with Scottish giants Rangers.
