But while there’s some excitement from New Zealanders about the possible bubble, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern won’t be drawn on dates, saying any indication of a timeline is purely speculative.

However, a statement from Jacinda Ardern’s office suggests no timeline has been established, and details are still being worked out. “We are supportive of reopening the border for quarantine-free travel between New Zealand and other low-risk countries, when the Government decides it is safe to do so,” she said.
