Sydney-based shuttle driver Julie Lamrock says she is still living with the health consequences of COVID-19, five-months after being diagnosed with the novel pathogen
On March 19 Ms Lamrock drove a Ruby Princess passenger from the dock in Sydney to their house in the far western suburbs of Sydney. She said she began developing COVID-19 symptoms shortly after. Ms Lamrock told Sky News she is still grappling with the long-term health consequences of contracting the virus.
“I had no concerns that I was going to get any germs from this lady … by Sunday afternoon I could hardly walk,” she said. “My hands and feet are swollen, my nerve endings are sore to touch. “I get freezing cold and two minutes later I could be sweating like you wouldn’t believe.” Ms Lamrock said criticisms of the NSW government are warranted, considering at least 22 people linked to the stricken cruise-liner have died due to the disease.
