But she looks increasingly frail; and with a number of ailments reporting already niggling at her, there will beAt a meting with several senior military officers last week, she stood still with a walking stick; and, pointing at her left leg, she said: “As you can see, I can’t move.” She was said to be “in good spirits” after her stay at the King Edward VIII Hospital in London, but did not physically appear in public again that year.
“Light duties” tends to involve reading and signing important papers, including acts of parliament.British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted on Sunday: “I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from COVID and a rapid return to vibrant good health.” Britain is still typically reporting upward of 40,000 new COVID-19 infections every day, and more than 11,000 people in hospital have the virus - although that number is shrinking daily.
