The full CreatureCommandos cast is revealed for the DC Universe's upcoming HBO Max animated show

The full voice cast for DC Universe's Creature Commandos has officially been revealed. One of the first projects coming from DC Studios is Creature Commandos, an animated TV show set to release on HBO Max in 2024. The story of Creature Commandos will factor into DC Studios' live-action properties.
Following the casting of Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Collider has revealed the full line-up. The cast will feature David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma as The Bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, and Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus. Sean Gunn is returning to the DC Universe as his The Suicide Squad character Weasel, as well as G.I. Robot. Peacemaker star Steve Agee will also appear as John Economos.

Viola Davis, who played Waller in the DCEU, will continue playing the character in the DC Universe. Creature Commandos serves as another way for Waller to pull strings in the franchise.
It goes without saying that the Creature Commandos seem to be essentially replacing the Suicide Squad. With no plans for Suicide Squad 3, this team allows the DC Universe to have Waller maintain control, but over new players this time around. How the characters fit into the larger DC Universe is the more interesting mystery.
With the actors also playing their live-action counterparts, time will tell where they fall into the franchise. Creature Commandos as a show is leaning into one of Gunn's strengths. The filmmaker has always done a solid job of taking obscure characters and modernizing them for a whole new audience. Hopefully, footage for Creature Commandos will be shown sooner rather than later.
