It’s one in, one out for in private equity’s happy hunting ground, Australia’s childcare sector.
It’s one private equity firm in, one out, in the deals rich Australian childcare sector., Sydney-based buyout firm Crescent Capital Partners is getting in via a stake in fast growing Green Leaves Early Learning.
Green Leaves is based in Queensland and has 52 child care centres including clusters in Brisbane and Melbourne, and sites in regional Queensland, NSW and Victoria. The biggest players are Goodstart Early Learning - what was ABC Learning - which has an estimated 10.2 per cent of the market, and ASX-listed G8 Eduction with 6.4 per cent.
The firm’s managing partner Michael Alscher and offsider Michael Baster have joined Green Leaves’ board.
