A crew member on a ship docked in Kwinana has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been moved to hotel quarantine.
The West Australian government is in talks with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and the Commonwealth and will urge them to send the ship away as soon as possible.The ship’s captain returned a positive test and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital. The ship was anchored off the Pilbara coast for about a month but set sail in April.
