Now the 38-year-old Greenock actor has shared his appreciation for the viewers, saying that he has been 'blown away' by the positive reaction.He also explained that people who have lost a loved one have been getting in touch off the back of watching the programme. Posting on Instagram he said:"Whole cast and production team of MAYFLIES been blown away by [the] reaction of those who watched on BBC"The messages [have] genuinely been wonderful, especially those reaching out who have dealt with loss. Can’t thank you all enough."The series, which was filmed in Glasgow and Ayr this year, was lauded by fans who shared their thoughts on social media.
One wrote:"Outstanding performances from both the male leads, Heartbreaking, heartwarming and nostalgic all at the same time. Proud to be Scottish and having these fine actors and scenery on our doorstep."
