A man's body has been found in a burnt shipping containerAuthorities are appealing to the public for information
Passing drivers raised the alarm with emergency services about 10pm after seeing flames from a storage yard in the Townsville suburb of Mount Louisa. Three fire crews spent about an hour putting out the blaze, which gutted a shipping container and damaged a caravan which was parked next to it.Examinations into the cause of the fire are underway with police forensics, detectives and fire investigators on the scene.
Hayley Micheluzzi works at a business nearby and said it was shock to see a crime scene established in her street. “There is obviously a lot of cars but never police. It’s normally tradies and people coming to work," she said.Authorities are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.
