BREAKING: Wildlife officers are investigating reports of a crocodile attacking a man off the coast of Far North Queensland on Wednesday.

It is understood the 33-year-old man was snorkelling about 4pm in Anchor Bay - offshore from the Lizard Island resort, north of Cairns.Source:NCA NewsWireHe was treated at the scene before being flown to Cairns Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.A team of wildlife officers from the Department of Environment and Science will travel to Lizard Island to locate and remove the crocodile.

Mick Curwen, 57, had been snorkelling with a group viewing coral spawning in Anchor Bay about dusk Wednesday when the reptile grabbed his elbow.
