At least nine out of 18 crossbenchers across the House of Representatives and the Senate are in favour of delaying the tax cuts or having them axed.
Three Crossbench Senators - David Pocock, Jacqui Lambie and Tammy Tyrell - are against the cuts along with the Greens, reported the Sydney Morning Herald.
Costings by the Parliamentary Budget Office estimate the cuts will cost $243 billion to the budget over the next decade. Labor previously opposed the stage three tax cuts with shadow treasurer Jim Chalmers calling it the"least affordable, least fair and least likely to be effective".
