Dan Crowley joined Notts County on a free transfer in the summer

Dan Crowley has hit the ground running as a new arrival at Notts County, and he spoke of his appreciation for the attention to detail that Luke Williams and his coaching staff possess. The 26-year-old midfielder came into the starting line-up for the second league game of the season against Grimsby Town and has not dropped out since with Notts unbeaten since.

Crowley said: “It’s been a brilliant start but I’m not surprised about where we are in the league seeing the quality we have in the squad and it is a great environment to be in at the moment. “You have to respect what a lot of this group have already achieved coming in as a new player, whereas in the past when I’ve gone to teams that are struggling they’re maybe looking to you for that spark.

“There was a lot to get my head around at the start in terms of the details and trusting that process because I’ve never been at a club with a manager where there is so much detail. I’ve had a lot of lazy coaches but to now be with a gaffer and his assistant who are so invested in the details of how we want to play is a breath of fresh air.”
